Quick report
Ran a quick pit and did not get any concerning results on the new snow interface. This was at 4k on the N side of Annette. Shovel tilt test showed some instability between the two layers but seemed that it was starting to bond well. Got a ECTX and CT was unremarkable. Under the crust there is some weak rounding grains that are 4F. The crust is 6cm thick.
Avalanche
Seems like the recent snow from Sunday is starting to heal to the crust. We did watch one rider trigger a storm slab on this crust in the morning near Huntoon point. Stepped on steep test slopes and did not notice any shooting cracks or cracking. Widespread surface hoar was found on all aspects today. No wind today.
