Quick report
Travel today was no fun. We were dealing with a strange rain crust that was very uneven. The level of rain that fell at lower elevations seem to really affect the snowpack, causing small undulating hills everywhere. In certain spots you could hack at the crust with a pole handle with little effect. I definitely wish I had brought sharps for even the below treeline travel. Finally I observed large glide cracks all over the place on our tour up and ski out.
