Quick report

We took a short ride and tour in protected N facing terrain east of the Mt. Olson area. The snowpack is shallow and elevation lower here in comparison to most of the surrounding terrain in the Virginia Lakes area. Greenhouse effect was noticeable throughout our ascent and descent in protected forest and open areas. Riding down through this snow was sticky and challenging. The top few cm on the snow surface had become moist enough to clump together in glove. Higher mountain peaks were obscured by low clouds and we encountered some very brief snow flurries.
