Quick report
"Toured" on the summer trail up to Garnet Canyon meadows. Height of snow varied from as little as 6 inches on the Taggart lake moraine to 2 feet at 9,000' in Garnet Canyon. Around 7 inches of new, medium density snow had fallen on a variety of old snow surfaces (stout crusts on southeast facing terrain, faceted snow on northeast and east facing terrain). Snow showed very little sign of wind transport. Travel in the park is still quite difficult - not nearly enough snow to ski most terrain below 9k.
