Quick report

A few wet slides and evidence of a small cycle over the last few days of heavy snow shedding from the rock faces above. Toured up to the ridge for sunset and did not experience any major signs of instability. The snowpack is very low and even as high as 5200’ there were sinkholes to the ground exposing a snowpack of only 3-4ft. Many travel hazards such as creeks and stumps have melted out and the snow BTL is littered with debris.

Avalanche

Most significant was a large wet slide that released above the avy swath. Roller balls were the size of fridges. Heard a cornice drop around sunset but couldn’t get eyes on it. Sounded like it was in the KAZ
