Quick report

Wet snow: Main avalanche problem today were wet snow problems related to the increasing temps through the day. Watched and heard a couple small wet loose avalanches run on steep solars starting around noon. Some thin, fresh looking wet slabs were peeling off in SE-S terrain >35*, none were more than 6-8" deep. Wet loose seemed to turn on around 12 this morning in the alpine. Wind Slab: Didn't encounter or see any evidence of recent drifting. Surfaces in the alpine are slightly wind effected, and there are certainly evidence of old wind loading. We chose to avoid slopes 35> that were obviously wind loaded. We felt good skiing shaded and confined features into the 50* range. We chose to avoid large, steep, open slopes or faces that were wind effected or loaded, we got in and out of steep solar terrain before surfaces got too hot.
