You can still trigger an avalanche on steep slopes...Slopes stayed cool with light to moderate South wind. Increase in cloud cover in pm. Natural avalanches 2-3 feet deep from 48-72 hours ago. The surface was crusted from sun and heat the day before as well as wind, above 7200 had 2 inches of new snow on top of the crust.
