Quick report
'Tis the season for long walks on forest roads and summer trails. I headed up into the Teanaway to attempt to find skiable snow depths. While it was a lovely day in the mountains, I only managed to take my skis for a long walk. But I get excellent views of the upper elevations.
The sun and warm temps helped soften the snow surface for easy foot travel, but a cool breeze prevented the snow from becoming too wet and punchy. Above 5800ft, there is still plenty of snow for skiing, probably more so on northerly aspects, but I didn't get a look at those.
It doesn't look like Tuesday's storm brought much new snow to this area of the Teanaway. The only evidence of recent snow was a few small, fresh-looking drifts on older cornices. I didn't notice any large cornice falls, but they have been shedding small chunks with the warm temperatures and sun.

I enjoyed a beautiful sunny day with some high clouds lingering to the west, a light to occasionally moderate breeze, and mild temperatures.
Snowpack
Below 4500ft, snow only exists in a patchwork fashion, with shady valleys holding more than steeper slopes. Above that, snow becomes more continuous on East and West aspects, but there are still many obstacles to navigate. Southern aspects are melted out to bare ground up to about 5500ft. I finally found mostly continuous snow by 5000ft on a west aspect. Snow depths were between 60-70cm, and the snowpack had transitioned to a uniform spring snowpack at these low middle elevations.
