Quick report

Cracking
specific

Large cornices near and above tree line. Cross and wind loaded slopes on east and north east aspects above tree line. Wind packed and scoured snow surface on w/sw faces. Traveled through terrain up to 50 degrees on s/sw aspects. Stayed off of steeper easterly slopes. Did not go above 6500ft as there was obvious scouring and wind hazards above. We opted to ski in protected slopes on the lower mountain where there was 10-20cm of good cold snow. Did not conduct any snowpack tests, just moving observations and cuts. The recent storm dropped a lot of snow and it adhered relatively well in the btl and ntl bands. In the Atl zone it was mostly transported and consolidated onto heavy cornices and leeward slopes. Hazard on Friday BTL- 1 NTL- 2 ATL- 2
