Quick report
Nicer than expected afternoon tour up Hyak. In sheltered areas there was 4-5 inches of decently light snow on top of Christmas Eve rain crust, a little less in the exposed areas, making for nice travel and ski conditions. Some creeks and ditches are still in play but the improvement is obvious! Pit dug near the top of Hyak peak showed snow depth of 70cm.
