Some notes on wind transport on Douglas from 12/17: We observed very little wind transport below 2300', and any notable wind transport was limited to ridgetop, or within ~300ft of ridgetop. Wind direction and intensity was highly influenced by terrain, and accordinly wind transport varied significantly from location to location. However, we observed plenty of active and recent wind transport, and in some locations this had formed soft windslabs that cracked under our skis.
