Snow depth measured about 22 cm (8-9") at 8300 ft in left fork of Bartholomew Canyon. Very soft, wet snow. The top 4 cm seems to have been hardened (frozen?) a little, though not enough to form a crust. A decent amount of graupel fell while we were there at 7:30 am.
The mid-elevation canyon is still very brushy, as shown in the other photo taken near 8200 ft.
