Quick report
- Collapsing
- isolated
Had one isolated collapse near the summit of Mt. Emmons on a SW aspect, but otherwise no noise. Top 5 cm of the snowpack was well saturated by 9:45am, and by 10:30am I would expect wet loose avalanches to start running naturally on the sunniest aspects. Overnight refreeze seemed to only occur in the upper 10cm of the snowpack, so timing is everything.
Avalanche
Saw a natural D2.5 Wet Slab on a SE aspect between Oh Be Joyful Pass and Richmond Mountain. Guessing it ran during warming event yesterday. CBAC Note: Old hard slab avalanche previously documented here: https://cbavalanchecenter.org/view-observations/#/view/avalanches/92821f19-f3d2-4de5-9298-5595fe019388
