Quick report

Collapsing
specific

The snowpack voiced it's concerns with us today - both in the form of propagating test results and remotely triggered avalanches. Two buried layers of surface hoar around two feet below the surface with a cohesive slab above is all the recipe for instability, just lacking a trigger. Tread lightly as our snowpack concerns are found on many slopes especially at mid and upper elevations.

Remotely triggered a large avalanche on a north to northeast-facing slope while walking along a treed ridgeline. Numerous audible collapses in larger openings, but cracking was limited to along the skin track and drifted areas.
