We rode up just past the Telkwa cabin to install a weather station. Travel was easy with a hard supportive surface that has been heavily wind affected. In areas that haven’t been wind blown there was about 10 cm of powder. We didn’t see any signs of avalanche activity in the few places we travelled. The snow was about 1 m deep at the weather station. Beneath the hard wind affected surface the snow was soft and sugary with no obvious layers except a solid layer of ice on the ground.
