I got caught and carried ~200ft in a windslab (D1.5) at the spire gully entrance. Lost both poles but located my skis in debris and was able to exit safely. Early season excitement, nonchalance, and complacency all contributed to this. Ignored obvious textbook red flags (see photos and video) and continued into the run (after an enjoyable adjacent first lap) without much discussion, having skied it many times before in similar ambiance.
