Forecast Snow Stability: The remaining snow will be confined to isolated patches, mainly above 800 metres; these although moist will remain generally stable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Snowpack Structure
Forecast Weather Influences: It will remain mild with periods of rain throughout. Thawing conditions will continue to affect the area. The winds will be very strong South, then South-Westerly. Observed Weather Influences: It has been a mild and damp day at all elevations; low cloud with drizzle affected the area throughout. Light winds. ObservedSnowStability: What remains of the snowpack is wet or damp at all altitudes. All thin superficial snow has now melted. Larger old snow patches are confined to slopes of various aspects above 850m. Good stability in all locations. The avalanche hazard is Low.
