NC for 31.3: Mild. A stable snowpack. Minor instabilities, isolated locations on steep convex NW to NE aspects above 1000m. Low Haz.

Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to thaw and consolidate at all altitudes. There will be potential for some minor surface instabilities in isolated steep and convex locations on North-West to North-East aspects above 1000 metres, but in general the snowpack will be well bonded and stable throughout. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Dry, mild conditions expected throughout the forecast period. Fresh to strong winds will be generally South-Easterly in direction. The freezing level will remain above the summits. Observed Weather Influences: A mostly dry day with occasional light rain at all levels. Winds were light to moderate, South-Westerly in direction. The freezing level remained above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: The generally stable snowpack continues to thaw and consolidate at all altitudes. Some minor surface instabilities observed on steep and convex North-West to North-East aspects above 1000 metres. The snowpack is most widespread around coire back walls and the plateau above 950 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
