Above approximately 2000 m mostly small moist and wet avalanches are possible. The avalanche prone locations for wet avalanches are to be found especially in gullies and bowls.
Below approximately 2000 m hardly any snow is lying. Above approximately 2000 m the snow is wet. The old snowpack remains subject to considerable local variations. Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise to rapid and thorough wetting of the old snowpack. Old wind slabs are to be found especially in gullies and bowls.
