Snowpack Structure

Bonded new snow to intermediate altitudes: The snowpack will become in most cases favourable. This snow will be deposited on soft layers. The weather conditions will give rise to gradual consolidation of the snowpack in particular at intermediate altitudes.

Avalanche Activity

New snow represents the main danger.

In gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain slab avalanches are possible, but they can reach medium size in some cases. They can be released, mostly by large loads. On steep slopes individual loose snow avalanches are possible, but they can reach medium size in isolated cases. In addition ground avalanches are possible.
