Lo esencial

At the mid and upper elevations strong southwest winds have formed slabs up to three feet deep. These slabs are likely to build in depth and volume as the day progresses. At 3 AM this morning the Cow of the Woods slide path in Hoback Canyon put 10 feet of debris on the highway. Another natural slide has deposited snow on the west side of the Teton Pass highway. Numerous additional natural releases are likely today. At the lower elevations pockets of slabs up to two feet in depth could be triggered. Large avalanches are also likely to enter lower elevation runout zones from above. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN AT THE MID AND UPPER ELEVATIONS AND IN THE RUNOUT ZONES OF MAJOR AVALANCHE PATHS AT THE LOWER ELEVATIONS IS NOT RECOMMENDED TODAY.
