Lo esencial

The avalanche hazard is MODERATE above an elevation of 9000 feet where backcountry riders or skiers could trigger pockets of dense wind slab up to 18 inches in depth. These slabs are most likely to be found in very steep wind loaded terrain in exposed areas and near ridge crests. Below 9000 feet avalanches are unlikely except for in isolated pockets in very steep terrain.
