Lo esencial

A completed melt-freeze cycle has created a mostly stable snowpack and the general avalanche hazard is LOW this morning. Daytime warming will increase the avalanche hazard to MODERATE as surface crusts break down, making wet point slides possible on steep, sunlit aspects. In the afternoon stay off of very steep sun affected slopes, and avoid steep drainages and gullies beneath them.

Above 7,500 feet, daytime warming will increase the avalanche hazard to MODERATE as surface crusts break down, making wet point slides possible on steep, sunlit aspects. In the afternoon stay off of very steep sun affected slopes, and avoid steep drainages and gullies beneath them. A limited snowpack below 7,500 feet will keep significant avalanches unlikely through the day.
