At the upper elevations isolated pockets of shallow wind slab could present a hazard to people who venture into cliff areas. Some potential may remain for backcountry travelers to trigger a pocket of dense slab up to two feet deep on northerly aspects in extreme terrain. Avalanches are unlikely elsewhere.

A series of weak low pressure troughs are to pass through, bringing areas of light snowfall to the mountains overnight and Thursday. Accumulations are to be light. Temperatures are expected to rise to near twenty degrees while west winds have averages of ten to fifteen miles per hour on the summits.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW. Riders and skiers will have the ability to easily trigger new snow sluffs and very soft shallow slabs in steep terrain. These are expected to be small in size however backcountry travelers should avoid long constricting terrain features where a small slide could pick up enough mass to push someone into rocks or other hazards.
