Forecast Snow Stability: Fresh windslab will be deposited throughout the period in wind sheltered areas, mainly on East to South aspects above 800 metres. This will fall almost entirely on bare ground. Accumulations gaining depth are not expected to be extensive, and will form mainly at the tops of gullies, around coire rims and along ridge flanks. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Winds will be strong mainly West-North-Westerly then North-Westerly. Showers are expected throughout the period falling as snow above around 400 metres. The freezing level will be around 500 metres. Observed Weather Influences: It was a wet morning with rain at all levels; the afternoon was mainly dry with a few showers. The freezing level was above the summits during morning, then gradually lowered during the afternoon. Winds were very strong West-North-Westerly. ObservedSnowStability: The remaining small snow patches continued to melt and further diminish. They are generally stable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
