Lo esencial
The early season snowpack is mostly stable. At the higher elevations lighter snow lies over heavier, denser snow layers. Isolated pockets of shallow soft slabs could be found in very steep or extreme terrain. Exercise normal caution and beware of shallow snowpack hazards.
Avalanche Discussion
( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Friday looks to be mostly sunny. Temperatures should rise from the single digits at all elevations in the early morning to the mid twenties in the mountains and the mid thirties in the valleys. West winds are to have ten to fifteen mile per hour averages on peaks and high ridges. The general avalanche will remain Low.
