Lo esencial

The potential for wet avalanches continues to be unpredictable. It remains possible to trigger an avalanche, especially on slopes exceeding 35-degrees. Ongoing melting snow and rain contribute to the lubrication of the snowpack, resulting in soft, unconsolidated and weak snowpack conditions across all elevations. Exercise caution in steep open terrains, especially those situated above or below natural hazards like rocks or trees.

     Warm temperatures and minimal overnight freeze temperatures are contributing to a wet and weak snowpack. Human triggered Wet Loose slides are possible on slopes steeper than 35 degrees. A small slide of wet heavy snow can knock you off your feet or move your sled around; being punched into trees or over cliff bands will increase consequences. Avoid the Wet Loose avalanche problem  by recognizing steeper slopes where these features exist.

Lower elevations: (2500 ft- 5500') Snow is disapearing quickly. Bare ground can be found below 3000 ft. 3000 ft. to 5000 ft. mostly consist of a shallow, wet snowpack. Off trail travel can be tricky due to the lack of supportable snow. Be aware of obstacles under the snow

Mid. / Upper elevations: Heavy wet snow, runneled surfaces, running water, exposed rocks/dirt now litter the landscape, possibly making for challenging travel conditions.  The temperatures are slowly getting cooler. Elevations over 5500 ft are seeing a couple hours of freezing temperatures over night, which is helping the snowpack stability and travel suportability. A couple inches of snow are in the forecast starting this afternoon and carrying through the weekend. If forecast totals are correct, the upper elevations could receive up to 8 inches of snow by Monday.
