The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information that has been collected in the high Alpine regions, so that the avalanche danger should be investigated especially thoroughly in the relevant locality. The early morning will see favourable conditions mostly. The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust. In all regions medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large moist and wet avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming. The wind slabs can still be released in some cases on very steep shady slopes and at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions. In the regions exposed to a lot of new snow this applies in particular in the regions with a lot of snow,. Backcountry tours should be started very early and concluded timely.

40 to 60 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, has fallen since Tuesday above approximately 2600 m. Up to 2600 m rain has fallen over a wide area. Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be quite good over a wide area. Towards its surface, the snowpack is hard and its surface has a melt-freeze crust that is strong in many cases. The solar radiation will give rise as the day progresses to increasing moistening of the snowpack. The conditions in all altitude zones are spring-like.

Regular avalanche bulletins with hazard maps will appear again from around the start of December, depending on the snow situation.
