A mostly overcast night below approximately 2000 m: Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be reduced, in particular at low and intermediate altitudes. The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust only at high altitudes and will already soften in the late morning. As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation more small and medium-sized moist and wet avalanches are possible. Between approximately 2300 and 2800 m these avalanche prone locations are more prevalent, caution is to be exercised in particular at the base of rock walls, as well as on very steep grassy slopes. Gliding avalanches are still possible. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided. Backcountry tours and off-piste skiing should be started very early and concluded timely. As a consequence of a moderate to strong wind from northwesterly directions, clearly visible wind slabs formed on Monday in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas. They can especially at their margins be released, even by small loads in isolated cases. Such avalanche prone locations are to be found on very steep slopes and in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. In particular at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions and along the border with Switzerland and along the border with France these avalanche prone locations are more widespread and the danger is slightly greater.

In particular along the border with France and along the border with Switzerland 10 to 20 cm of snow fell on Monday above approximately 2400 m. The wind was moderate to strong. The weather conditions gave rise to moistening of the snowpack over a wide area especially at low and intermediate altitudes, this also applies on shady slopes below approximately 2500 m. A lot of snow is lying at intermediate and high altitudes. In the last two days below approximately 2700 m many small and medium-sized avalanches were observed.

Moist avalanches and wet and gliding avalanches are still possible.
