Dry slab avalanches are the main danger.
The fresh wind slabs are easy to recognise and can in some cases be released easily at their margins. Adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and on west facing slopes dry slab avalanches are possible, even medium-sized ones.
Wind slabs are to be found adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. The various wind slabs have bonded quite well already together. Above approximately 1900 m the avalanche prone locations are more prevalent.
