SC for 25.03.22 Snowpack will remain soft, thawing and generally well bonded above 900 metres. Avalanche Hazard will be Low.

Forecast Snow Stability: The diminishing snowpack will remain soft and thawing at all levels. It will be generally well bonded. Cornice collapse and falling ice will remain a potential hazard. Greatest snow accumulations will be on high plateau areas and in North to East facing corries above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Winds will be light to fresh from the Westerly quadrants. The freezing level will remain above the highest summits and no precipitation is expected. Observed Weather Influences: A dry day with some extensive cloud cover developing during the afternoon. The freezing level was above the highest summits. The winds were fresh South-Westerly. ObservedSnowStability: The snow accumulations are soft, thawing but remain generally well bonded. The greatest amounts are now found on high plateau areas and in North to East facing corries above 900 metres. Glide cracks were evident on some steeper convex terrain. The avalanche hazard is Low.
