Generally safe avalanche conditions exist in the morning but the danger will increase as temperatures increase throughout the day. You can trigger wet avalanches on steep slopes in the afternoon. Most of these will be small, but they can still knock you over and drag you down a slope. The easiest way to reduce your chances of triggering a wet avalanche on Thursday is to start and end your day early, or simply avoid steep terrain when you notice your feet, skis, or machine sinking deep into wet snow.
