Lo esencial
At the upper elevations 14 inches of snow with about an inch of mosture has fallen in the past two days. Strong southwest winds have formed dense new slabs up to 30 inches in depth. These slabs lie upon surface hoar and a weak faceted October snowpack. These dangerous unstable slabs are likely to be easily triggered and could release naturally. At the mid elevations pockets of dense slab up to two feet in depth could be triggered in steep wind loaded starting zones. Be aware of the potential for natural or human triggered avalanches to enter mid elevation slide paths from above. At the lower elevations the snowpack is very shallow and avalanches are unlikely.
