Avalanche Summary

You can trigger a small avalanche in the new snow wherever you find more than a couple of feet of snow on a steep slope. On certain slopes where rapidly shifting wind blew additional snow these avalanches could grow large enough to bury you. If you find more than a couple feet of new snow where you are traveling avoid slopes steeper than about 35 degrees to reduce your chances of triggering an avalanche.
