Lo esencial
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Pockets of soft surface slab up to two feet in depth exist in steep wind loaded aspects. These slabs could be human triggered today especially by high marking riders. Some potential exist for these slabs to step down to deeper layers in steep rocky areas with a thinner snowpack and in very steep wind loaded starting zones of major avalanche paths. Two days ago a skier triggered a 18 inch deep slab on an east-southeast aspect of Lookout Mountain at an elevation of 10,300 feet.
