Avalanche Activity

Forecast Snow Stability: Stability will remain good in many places. Some new moist windslab is possible on a few West to North West aspects above 950m. Any new accumulations of less well bonded snow expected to be localised and confined to very steep locations. Elsewhere the snowpack will be moist but generally well stabilised. All existing cornices expected to weaken. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate

Low confidence in forecasted snow amounts. Observed Weather Influences: Some overnight showers of snow over summits with light rain at lower levels then largely dry during the day. Freezing near summits throughout. Light to moderate South Easterly winds. ObservedSnowStability: Good stability in most places. Only limited drifting noted. Moist or humid snow depending on altitude.
