Lo esencial
Low hazard does not mean no hazard exists. Above 9000 feet, small pockets of soft slab could be triggered on isolated wind loaded terrain features and in extreme terrain. Elsewhere, avalanches are unlikely. The primary hazard remains the shallow, early season snowpack and hidden obstacles just below the snow surface.
Avalanche Discussion
( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Skies are to clear overnight and be followed by increasing clouds on Tuesday morning with a chance of light snow returning by evening. Temperatures are to be similar to today’s, starting in the single digits and rising to the teens. Northwest winds are to become westerly with 10-20 mph averages before increasing in the later part of the day.The general avalanche hazard will be Low. Low hazard does not mean no hazard. The chance for humans to trigger small avalanches will still exist on isolated terrain features and in extreme terrain. Even small slides can carry someone where they don’t want to go and the shallow snowpack has many dangerous obstacles that are not yet covered.
