Dangerous avalanche conditions exist and will worsen throughout the day. You can easily trigger large and dangerous wet avalanches, and you can also trigger a large dry slab avalanche on near and above treeline north-facing slopes. Starting and ending your day early may not be an effective way to reduce your chances of triggering a wet avalanche with a poor overnight freeze. If your feet start sinking past your ankles into wet snow, or if you are seeing natural loose avalanches or rollerballs out of rocky terrain, you should avoid traveling on or directly underneath steep slopes.
