Avalanche Summary

Be careful when you find drifts of snow near ridgelines. You are most likely to find these drifts on north through east to southeast aspects. You can work around these firm pillows on soft unconsolidated snow or avoid steep slopes where you find snow that cracks under you. You can find safer travel on slopes sheltered from the wind.
