Avalanche Summary

You might be able to trigger a small avalanche where you find firm drifted snow above weak old snow. These areas are primarily limited to north-facing terrain right at ridgeline and the edges of terrain features like gullies.

These avalanches are small, isolated, and easy to avoid, but could sweep an unsuspecting traveler off their feet and into exposed rocks.
