Snowpack Structure
The new snow and wind slabs of the last few days represent the main danger. This snow will be deposited on soft layers. Fresh wind slabs are to be found especially adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. They are to be found especially in places that are protected from the wind.
Avalanche Activity
Fresh wind slabs require caution.
In gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain slab avalanches are possible, but they will be mostly small. They can be released, mostly by large loads. On steep slopes individual loose snow avalanches are possible, but they will be mostly small.
