Avalanche Summary

Most slopes lack the right ingredients to create an avalanche and are safe for travel. The few places you should continue to give caution are steep, wind-drifted gullies. Denser slabs of snow in isolated features below ridges or in concave features could produce a small avalanche that might catch you off guard.
