The snowpack is mostly stable. At the upper elevations, backcountry travelers venturing into very steep, avalanche prone terrain might be able to trigger isolated pockets of surface slab up to 12 inches deep. These slides would likely be small, but could pose a threat to skiers and riders in areas with exposure to being swept over cliff bands or into terrain traps.

Avalanche Discussion

Mostly clear skies are expected overnight and into tomorrow allowing inverted temperatures to develop. Overnight lows in the mountains will dip below zero before rising into the mid-teens during the day. Northerly ridgetop winds will range from 10 to 20 miles per hour.The snowpack is mostly stable and the General Avalanche Hazard will remain LOW on Tuesday.
