Lo esencial

In steep avalanche terrain in and around cliff areas at the high elevations hard slabs to five foot depths persist. These slabs are likely to require significant loads such as cornice drops, snow machines or multiple snow machines on a slope at one time to cause their release. Avalanches at mid and low elevations are unlikely today.

Avalanche Discussion

On Sunday, expect cloud cover to increase during the day along with a chance of light, scattered flurries in the afternoon. Overnight lows in the mountains will be in the upper teens before rising into the mid to upper 20s during the day. Ridgetop winds will be out of the west at 10 to 20 miles per hour. The General Avalanche Hazard is expected to be LOW at all elevations across Western Wyoming on Sunday. The snowpack is mostly stable and avalanches are unlikely.
