The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW this morning, and could rise to MODERATE during the day depending on the amount of sun impacting the snowpack. Any extended periods of sun this time of year can rapidly warm the upper snowpack and wet, loose slides can result. These slides may be started by backcountry travelers, snow falling off cliff areas, or cornice collapses. Avoid steep ravines and road cuts where small wet slides can be dangerous.
