Lo esencial

The snowpack is mostly stable. Avalanches are unlikely today except for a lingering chance to trigger small slabs in and around cliff bands. Look for signs of loading on steep terrain features and avoid terrain traps where a very small slide could have serious consequences.

Avalanche Discussion

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )A weak cold front could bring periods of flurries or possibly light snow showers overnight although measurable accumulations are not expected. Friday should be mostly clear with high temperatures reaching the mid-twenties at the upper elevations and the low thirties in the valleys. Northwest winds are to have averages between fifteen and twenty five miles per hour. The avalanche danger for Friday will remain Low in all the forecast areas.
