Current Snowpack Conditions
A stronger/thicker freeze + colder temps than expected yesterday. A consolidated snowpack as a result.
Today a couple of cms of new snow has dusted the firm melt freeze crust that is the old surface.
Of note is that sth slopes have seen heat effect and have a crust on most elevations.
Mountain Weather
Cold temperatures and light snow throughout the day. Light Sth winds with the FAFL dropping to 800m.
Sliding Danger
There is a real sliding hazard in the region currently.
Expect firm conditions on all aspects, particularly in the morning.
An ice axe/crampons are recommended as well as caution moving over consequential terrain.
