The wind slabs must be evaluated with care and prudence.
In the last few days large surface-area wind slabs formed in particular adjacent to ridgelines. The fresh wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in some cases at elevated altitudes. At high altitude and in the regions exposed to heavier precipitation the avalanche prone locations are more prevalent.
As a consequence of a sometimes strong wind, easily released wind slabs formed. In some places wind slabs are lying on soft layers. Moist small and medium sized avalanches are possible below approximately 2000 m. In particular at low altitude a little snow is lying.
