Avalanche Summary
Most slopes are safe from avalanches. Avoid steep slopes where you sink into the snowpack past your ankles or the snowpack collapses under your weight. The most likely place to find conditions like this, and trigger an avalanche, is in thin snowpack areas and in rocky, steep areas. Start your day early and end early to reduce your chance of triggering a wet avalanche.
