Avalanche Summary
Most slopes are safe from avalanches. Steep wind-drifted slopes below a ridgeline or along the side of a gully are the few places to identify and possibly avoid. Look for stiff, hollow-feeling snow or cracking in the snow around your feet or machine as an indication of this problem.
